Atlantic Seascapes
This landscaping company has seen amazing growth as its website has become its most productive marketing tool. Serving a market of about 400,000 people in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada they have found that there are plenty of people searching on Google for various landscaping services.
The website was launched in early spring of 2007. In the first few months they began to see a trickle of requests via email asking for quotes on their services. Through summer the website steadily climbed in the rankings for their targeted keywords. This brought more traffic to the site and translated into many more emails asking for quotes. Many of these quotes turned into paying customers.
With the site now very well established and having secured very high rankings for a wide set of keywords it is ready to produce a stellar business year for next years key spring and summer operating season.
Body Balance
This little spa located outside of Springfield, Missouri needed an internet marketing solution in order to be able to attract and draw people out of the city to visit their location. They already had a decent website and had been working on the site themselves but were looking for help getting search engine traffic to their site. We revamped their content and provided guidance on their "do-it-yourself" link building strategy.
In a relatively short period of time their site started to climb up the rankings for their target keywords. With the higher rankings came more traffic. Targeted traffic of people looking for massage and spa services in the Springfield area. This turned into booking more appointments at the spa and allowed them to grow their business bringing on employees to offer even more services.
The success of the site has lead to desire to better capitalize on their top rankings and the traffic it sends. We redesigned their website from the ground up. Applied our usability methodology to create a site layout that draws users into initiating a sale. We also added some applications that are driving even more sales. These included online appointment booking, with online pre-payment, and online Gift Certificate purchases.
Clients have already begun to think that this little spa is part of a larger chain and are asking if they have locations in other cities in their state. Due largely to their top Google rankings and the professional and highly functional site.
Perhaps, as the website allows their business to grow, more locations are the next chapter of their story.
George & Cottage B&B
This beautiful bed and breakfast on Cape Breton Island started their first year of operation with a basic website. The site was nice and had an attractive and professional appearance but it was built in such a way that effectively closed the doors on search engines. Still the site was sending them a fair bit of business.
They were relying solely on paying to be included in some major B&B directory websites. These directories are an effective marketing channel for small B&B's and Inns but we know they could do better than just that.
We rebuilt their site using the same design they had, as it did look great, and revamped the underlying structure of the site and added keyword rich content which it was lacking. This on-site optimization combined with a link building campaign opened the site up to the search engines.
Compared to their first season of operation the website made the second season a complete success. The B&B operated at peak capacity throughout their tourist season. Search engines, which had previously been sending zero traffic, became their primary source of traffic. Search traffic has become more than double the level the B&B directories are sending them.
Shuswap Boat Rentals
This little company has a great little story to tell about the power or geo-targeted internet marketing. They rent boats on the majestic Shuswap Lake within the Monashee Mountain Range in British Columbia, Canada. In their first summer of operations, with only one newly purchased pontoon boat, they relied solely on a website for marketing. The site attracted people from larger centers who were traveling to the Shuswap and wanted to rent a boat while visiting the lake. They had a fair number of rentals that first year and plan to possibly acquire a second boat for next season.
Their business represents a very small niche on the internet but illustrates how effective search engine optimization can get searchers to a website and how a nice site can produce sales. Even for their tiny niche there are people searching online for what they are offering.
